Facebook requires a payment method before ads can run. Follow the steps below to add or update your billing information.

▶ How to Add a Payment Method in Facebook

  1. Log in to Facebook Business Manager:
    https://business.facebook.com/settings
  2. In the left-hand menu, scroll down and click Billing & Payments.
  3. Select Payment Methods.
  4. If prompted, click Modify Permissions and set yourself as Finance Editor.
    (You may need to refresh the page. If you don’t see this option, skip this step.)
  5. Click the gray Add button next to Add Business Payment Method.
  6. Enter your card information and click Save.

Once saved, Facebook can bill this card for ad spend.


What Payment Method Should I Add?

Add the card you want Facebook to bill directly for ad spend.
Gargle does not receive or store your card information.


Common Billing Issues & Fixes

I don’t see “Billing & Payments”
You may not have the correct permissions. Ask the business owner to grant finance access.

I can’t add a payment method
Make sure you are set as a Finance Editor or Admin.

The page looks different than these steps
Facebook updates layouts often. Look for similar wording under billing or payment settings.

My card was declined
Double-check the card details or try a different card.
