Helpful Tips Before You Start
- Make sure you are logged in as an admin on your Facebook Business Manager
- Your Facebook Page and Ad Account must already be created
- Use a desktop computer if possible (mobile can be limited)
Quick Start Checklist
Complete these before inviting Gargle
☐ You can log into Facebook Business Manager
☐ You are an admin on the Business Manager

☐ Your Ad Account is created and active
☐ You are using a desktop computer (recommended)
Once these are ready, you can invite Gargle for access.
How to Add Gargle to Facebook Business Manager
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to Facebook and go to:
https://business.facebook.com/settings - In the left-hand menu, click People.
- Click the blue Invite People button.
- Enter Gargle’s email address, then click Next.
- When prompted for access level, click the dropdown next to Full Control and select Manage.
Click Next. - You’ll see a screen with three columns:
- In the middle column, select your business
- In the right column, scroll down and select Full Control
- Click Submit to send the invitation.
Once accepted, Gargle will be able to manage your social ads.
What Access Does Gargle Need?
Gargle needs access to:
- Your Facebook Page
- Your Ad Account
- Full control to manage and optimize ads
This access can be removed at any time.
Common Setup Issues & Fixes
I don’t see the “People” menu
You likely don’t have admin access. Ask the business owner to update your permissions.
I can’t select Full Control
Only admins can grant full access.
I don’t see my ad account or page
Make sure they’re connected to your Business Manager first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to give Gargle my Facebook login?
No. Gargle will never ask for your login information.
Can I remove Gargle’s access later?
Yes. You can update or remove access at any time in Business Manager.
Will Gargle post to my page without approval?
No. Gargle only manages ads unless otherwise discussed.
What if I don’t have a Facebook Business Manager yet?
Facebook will prompt you to create one during setup, or Gargle can guide you through it.
Does this also connect to Instagram ads?
Yes — Instagram ads are managed through Facebook Business Manager.
Pro Tip
If Facebook options look different from what you expected, it’s usually due to permission levels or account setup. This is common and easily fixed.
